About This Package
The Annapurna region is best described as one of the most captivating and popular trekking routes, spanning approximately 300 kilometers through the Annapurna mountain range in the Nepal Himalayas. The trek begins in Besishahar and follows the Marshyangdi River, offering stunning views of Manaslu and Himchuli. It reaches its highest point at the Thorong La Pass, at an altitude of 5,416 meters, bordering the legendary Tibetan plateau.
The trek offers breathtaking views of several world-renowned peaks, including Annapurna (8,091m), the striking ice pyramid of Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Machhapuchhre (6,993m), and the revered home of the Buddhist guru Padmasambhava. As the trail descends westward from Manang to Muktinath, it leads into the arid, Tibetan-like villages of the Kali Gandaki Valley. One of the most thrilling sections of the trek is where the trail passes through the world’s deepest gorge, nestled between the towering Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains at Dana.
The Annapurna Circuit follows ancient trade routes that once connected Nepal and Tibet, traversing a culturally rich and diverse region. This classic trail circles the entire Annapurna massif, showcasing a remarkable variety of people, traditions, and landscapes—from lush lowlands and alpine meadows to the windswept highlands bordering Tibet.
